1. OVERVIEW

Rancer’s Remix (“we,” “our,” or “the Project”) is a creative remix challenge centred on transformative works, reinterpretations, and community-driven expression. By accessing, participating in, or submitting content to Rancer’s Remix, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”).

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not participate.

2. NATURE OF THE PROJECT

Rancer’s Remix is a creative challenge and showcase. It is not a record label, rights broker, or licensing authority.
All remixes and submissions are treated as transformative creative works, not claims of ownership over original source material. Participation does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, any original rights holders.

3. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to participate.
By entering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Additional eligibility requirements may apply and will be communicated during the challenge period.

4. SUBMISSIONS & USER CONTENT

By submitting content (“User Content”) to Rancer’s Remix, you confirm that:

• Your work is original and transformative
• You own the rights to your creative contribution or have permission to use included materials
• Your submission does not violate any laws or third-party rights

You grant Rancer’s Remix a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, share, archive, and promote your submission in connection with the Project, with attribution where reasonably possible.

5. ATTRIBUTION & CREATIVE RESPECT

Rancer’s Remix values transparency and respect for source material. Participants are encouraged to:

• Credit original inspirations where applicable
• Avoid misrepresenting authorship or ownership
• Engage in remix culture in good faith

Failure to do so may result in content removal or disqualification.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Rancer’s Remix does not claim ownership over:

• Original works referenced or remixed
• Third-party intellectual property used transformatively

All original branding, visuals, challenge identity, and content created directly by Rancer’s Remix remain the property of the Project.

7. CONTENT MODERATION & REMOVAL

We reserve the right to remove or disqualify any submission at our discretion, including but not limited to cases involving:

• Copyright concerns or takedown requests
• Plagiarism or misrepresentation
• Violations of these Terms
• Harmful or abusive content

Good-faith takedown requests from rights holders will be honoured.

8. PRIZES, RANKINGS & REWARDS

Rancer’s Remix may include competitive challenges with a publicly announced cash prize pool and ranked placements.

8.1 Prize Pool

• The total prize pool and individual prize amounts will be clearly communicated during the challenge.
• Prize amounts are fixed per placement and are not negotiable.
• Rankings and placements determine prize distribution.

8.2 Eligibility for Prizes

To qualify for prizes, participants must:

• Fully comply with these Terms
• Submit original, transformative work
• Meet all deadlines
• Provide accurate contact and payout information when requested

Failure to meet these requirements may result in prize forfeiture.

8.3 Judging & Rankings

• Rankings may be determined by internal review, a judging panel, community engagement metrics, or a combination thereof.
• Judging criteria and processes will be communicated where applicable.
• All decisions are final.

8.4 Taxes & Fees

• Winners are solely responsible for any taxes, fees, or charges associated with receiving a prize.
• Rancer’s Remix does not provide tax advice and assumes no responsibility for tax obligations unless explicitly stated otherwise.

8.5 Prize Distribution

• Prizes will be distributed within a reasonable timeframe following winner announcements.
• Payout methods may vary based on availability and region.
• If a winner cannot be contacted or fails to claim a prize within a reasonable period, the prize may be forfeited.

8.6 Right to Modify or Void

Rancer’s Remix reserves the right to:

• Disqualify entries involving fraud, plagiarism, or abuse
• Adjust prize distribution if the integrity of the challenge is compromised
• Cancel, modify, or suspend the challenge if necessary due to technical, legal, or operational reasons

9. NON-COMMERCIAL INTENT

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, participation in Rancer’s Remix does not grant participants commercial rights, licensing deals, or revenue-sharing beyond announced prizes.
Future monetisation, if any, will be communicated separately.

10. TERMINATION OF PARTICIPATION

We may suspend or terminate participation at any time if:

• These Terms are violated
• A participant undermines the integrity of the challenge

The Project is paused or discontinued

11. DISCLAIMER

Rancer’s Remix is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees regarding availability, permanence of content, or continued operation of the Project.
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rancer’s Remix shall not be liable for:

• Loss of submissions
• Disputes between participants and third parties
• Copyright claims arising from submitted content
• Indirect or consequential damages related to participation

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
